Whimsy Stamps DT Call

Good Evening,

Well it's been a while since I've posted anything here
but I have just been so busy with work, family life that
I haven't had the energy or mojo to craft :(
only for my commissioned orders I would have thought
that I had given up on crafting altogether
but I can tell you now that's not the case and I am back and raring to go again.

What a perfect time to get back into crafting
as I was browsing some blogs recently
and seen that Whimsy Stamps are holding a DT Call :)
I have seen so many inspiring cards recently featuring Whimsy Stamps
so I decided to buy a new digi stamp from Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet
who designs for Whimsy Stamps and color it up just for this DT Call
I decided to go for "Rosetta" and she is absolutely gorgeous.

I am not part of any Design Teams at the moment.
I have had the pleasure of being on 3 DT Teams and loved every minute of them
I have had to think out of the box, use materials etc
that I never would have thought of using and found new loves for stamping
and coloring because of these teams.
I would love to join the Whimsy Design Team
as I would love to get the opportunity to work with their stamps
and other products and give myself some motivation
to create different styles of cards etc.

Here is my Card

 to start from the beginning!

So here is what I made for the Challenge

List of Materials

Hammered White Cardstock – The Papermill Direct
Green Sparkly Cardstock – The Papermill Direct
Backing Paper – Die Cuts With A View The Year Round Stack
Die Cut – Spellbinders Nestabilities Mega Dies - Labels 17
Image Topper – Lili Of The Valley Art Pad Set 3 Wild Flowers
Yellow Ribbon – Stash
Punch – Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch Garden Trellis
Punch – Artemio 2” Deckle Edge Punch
Happy Easter Topper – Freebie from http://nettyscards.blogspot.ie/p/freebies.html
Glitter – Hunkydory Diamond Sparkles in Butterfly Trails
X cut Guillotine
Grand Calibur
Double Sided Tape
Stix 2 Foam Pads
Create and Craft Silicone Glue
Scissors

How I made the Card

1.       I started off by taking an a4 sheet of card and scoring it in half. I then cut it to a 6x6 card using my guillotine. I then cut down a piece of the green sparkly card to mat onto my card and then I cut a piece of the backing paper to mat onto the green sparkly card. I attached all of these to the card with some double sided tape.

2.      I then punched out a border with the Garden Trellis Punch and attached this in the middle of the card with some double sided tape in the middle. I cut a piece of the yellow ribbon and stuck that to the middle of the Garden Trellis punch out. I then made a chocolate box bow with the remainder of the ribbon by cutting it onto 3 piece and taking the longest piece and sticking the ends to themselves and I did the same with the next piece which is slightly shorter and then finally I took the smallest piece and wrapped it around the middle of the two pieces I stuck all of these together using some silicone glue.

3.      I then cut out my topper with the labels 17 Die and added some glitter to the embossed edge. I attached this to my card using some Foam Pads.

4.      I then printed out the Happy Easter Sentiment and cut it out with some scissors. I placed this on to the punched deckle edge topper that I punched out.
